We are thrilled to announce that Jump Cut Editors have completed the offline edit on all five episodes of ‘Race For The Planet.’ A behind-the-scenes documentary series following the inaugural Extreme E season, available now on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland.
Extreme E is a radical new racing series which sees eSUVs compete in the most remote corners of the planet that have been impacted by climate change. Featuring teams founded by some of the biggest names in motorsport. Including Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Jenson Button, Chip Ganassi and Michael Andretti.
Created in partnership with NEO Studios, the docuseries gives audiences a comprehensive look. Telling the stories through the eyes of the racers, team members, support staff and the organizers who made it happen in the face of the pandemic. Whilst shedding light on the consequences of climate change in each race location.
The Edit
With a tight edit schedule of just seven weeks, Jump Cut’s Craig Chaplin & Jamie Tucker were hired for their creative flair, lightning speed and combined wealth of sports and documentary experience. As two of the three Series Editors, they were responsible for cutting all the spectacular race highlights and action as well additional editing of the dramatic off-track narrative.
