We were delighted to have worked on Season 32 of Top Gear. Presented by Freddie Flintoff, Paddy McGuinness and Chris Harris, the trio reunite for some more high adrenaline action and mayhem.

Jump Cut Editors’ Alex Young was tasked with crafting the opening film to Episode 4. Featuring the stunning all-new Maserati MC20 supercar.

The Italian sports car company, one of the greatest names in motoring, has been responsible for some of the most beautiful race and road cars ever seen.

The film sees presenter Chris Harris takes us on a journey from Maserati’s glorious history to present day, as he reviews the MC20. Pushing the supercar to its limits around the famous Top Gear test track.

The Edit

Cut on Avid, this 7 minute film features archive and multicam location shoots. Bringing his outstanding creativity, sense of timing and flair, Alex seamlessly blends them expertly, to craft this stylish high-end VT.

Top Gear’s Post Production Manager, Hayley Osborne had this glowing testimonial to say about Alex’s work.

“Everything has gone really well. Alex has done a great job and everyone is really pleased. He has been so easy to work with. We would definitely like to work with Alex again.”

It’s always great to receive such positive feedback. At Jump Cut, we pride ourselves on tailoring the most suitable talent to each job and can’t wait to collaborate together again!

Given our pedigree and range in delivering breathtaking, high-octane, motorsport programming content for the likes of Netflix, Prime Video, Formula 1 and more, we naturally loved working on this feature for BBC’s primetime show.
