Jump Cut Editors’ Laura Healey was hired exclusively by Monkey Kingdom to offline and online all 18 weekly episodes for Series 1 of Pete & Sam’s Reality News.
The reality news series is anchored by TOWIE’s Pete Wicks and Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson. They deliver the latest juicy gossip and breaking stories making the headlines in the reality world using their unique tongue-in-cheek style. Featuring weekly gossip, guests, regular features and the inside scoop from exclusive celeb events.
In order to ensure the content remained as relevant as possible, each 15-minute episode of original content had an incredibly tight turnaround of just 4 days. From offline to online, graphics, grade and final delivery. With post-house Suite doing the final audio mix and QC for broadcast.
Accustomed to demanding schedules, Laura used all her speed, skill, creativity and experience to remote edit the multicam green screen studio shoots and VTs. Whilst she also used her extensive After Effects skills to create bespoke graphics for all episodes. Including animations, text and digital backgrounds.
Such was the success of the format, Pete & Sam’s Reality News was nominated for Broadcast Digital Awards ‘Best Short-Form Format’ and recommissioned for a second season. With Laura back on board once more.
