Evelyn Franks has completed editing the feature-length environmental documentary ‘Blue Carbon: Nature’s Hidden Power,’ for CNN Films. The film delves into the vital role coastal ecosystems play in combating climate change.
Told through the eyes of Grammy-nominated DJ and marine toxicologist Jayda G, along with the music of Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, this immersive documentary fuses the universal languages of music and science into a vibrant call to action for protecting the planet
Directed by acclaimed Emmy and BAFTA-winning filmmaker Nicolas Brown, and executive produced by Oscar-nominated director Fernando Meirelles, ‘Blue Carbon’ follows Jayda G on a global adventure across six countries and five continents, in her quest to explore the importance of preserving and restoring blue carbon ecosystems.
From the mangroves of Vietnam and Senegal to the salt marshes of France, the seagrass meadows of Florida, and beyond. They all share one thing in common – the unique ability to sequester large amounts of carbon dioxide.
