From 2016 to Now

When we first stepped into Formula 1 in 2016, the sport looked very different.

Bernie Ecclestone was still in charge. F1’s social following sat around 8–10 million, F1 TV did not exist, and Lando Norris was only 16!

Since then, a huge surge in global popularity, and a younger, more diverse fanbase, has transformed what Formula 1 looks like today.

From Liberty Media’s takeover in 2017, to racing in lockdown, from the 2021 title fight to the sport’s expansion into the USA, we’ve been there every step of the way. For all the race action, subplots and drama, we’ve cut the story as it unfolds, delivering hundreds, if not thousands of edits.

2025 by the Numbers

In 2025 alone, Jump Cut Editors delivered content at an unprecedented scale:

  • Coverage of every session across all 24 races
  • Content for F1 TV, digital and social platforms
  • 76.1 million average viewers per race weekend
  • 114+ million global social audience

We also delivered full post-production on:

  • 24 × 30-minute episodes of The Cooldown Room
  • Studio shows including Tech Talk and returning episodic features including Grill the Grid
  • A documentary featuring Brad Pitt driving a McLaren
