Jump Cut Editors partnered with Future Time Pictures to deliver a major series of behind-the-scenes films for Warner Bros. Pictures and Apple TV+, supporting F1: The Movie, starring Brad Pitt.
The project marked Future Time Pictures’ largest editorial undertaking to date. It brought together multiple Jump Cut editors, including Alex Holden, Will Evans, Jack Abbot, Alex Young and David Miller.
Full Throttle Storytelling: Inside the Edit
The films cover a wide range of subjects. They document the cast’s physical training and preparation, as well as deep dives into VFX, soundtrack, locations, scene breakdowns, and more. The end result captures the scale and technical ambition behind this groundbreaking cinematic experience.
Filming took place across key moments of the Formula 1 calendar, including the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the Las Vegas Grand Prix, and the season finale at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi. The films highlight the collaboration, innovation, and attention to detail behind the production. They also reveal how the fictional race team, APXGP, was fully embedded into real F1 settings, creating a seamless and authentic on-screen experience.
Featuring behind-the-scenes moments with Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, composer Hans Zimmer, and director Joseph Kosinski, the suite of films offer an inside look at the creative forces driving the project.
