Celebrating Liverpool FC’s 125th anniversary, club sponsor Standard Chartered Bank have commissioned several films that takes us on a journey through a series of significant numbers in the club’s history.
From the players on the pitch, to the legends of the club and the passionate fans, ‘The Power of Numbers’ explores the stories that have made Liverpool FC into an incredible club.
The latest film in the series, ‘#54: Together We Stand,’ stands for the 54,074 fans who come and cheer on their team together at Anfield.
Directed by Richard Mullane of Living Projects and created with our partners over at Milkmoney, we see how Liverpool FC fans from all walks of life are brought together by their common love for the club in this emotive piece.
This is a story about diversity. As we hear the voices of our fans describing what it is that drives them to head on a journey every week, revealing them at diverse moments in their everyday lives. We open on a woman boxing to camera. Cut to a DJ flipping records. Followed by a male nurse, caring for an elderly person and then finally cutting to a man, surging forward in his wheelchair.
Shot with vintage lenses in the style of a mini-documentary, the film is in constant motion as we follow these journeys of our four heroes to Anfield, hearing of friendships made, memories created and their passions shared as LFC fans.
