We are pleased to announce our latest collaboration with Pulse Films on the three-part Netflix true crime documentary series ‘The Many Deaths of Nora Dalmasso,’ directed by Jamie Crawford.
Jump Cut’s Andrea Cuadrado and Livia Serpa edited Episodes 2 (The Accused) and 3 (The Trial) respectively, diving deep into one of Argentina’s most shocking and contentious unsolved crimes. Their work expertly shapes a compelling narrative that explores not only the investigation itself but also the intense media frenzy that engulfed the case, helping to unravel this multifaceted story.
Nora Dalmasso’s murder ignited a national firestorm — fuelled not just by the tragedy, but by the sensationalism that followed. The case became a complex web of sex, class, power, and prejudice, where headlines often spoke louder than truth.
A Story Beyond the Headlines
The series presents an intimate and revealing lens on the events, featuring first-hand testimonies from Nora’s children and widower. Their voices are accompanied by reconstructions, insights from close friends, investigative journalists, and members of the judiciary and police, offering a comprehensive perspective on both the crime and its aftermath.
“The murder of Nora Dalmasso is one of Argentina’s most infamous crimes…By chance, I have a personal connection to the community it affected, and nearly 20 years since her death I wanted to seek the humanity behind the headlines, to find out who Nora Dalmasso really was, and how those closest to her survived their decades-long ordeal.”
