Alex Holden and Craig Chaplin were delighted to be asked by BAFTA to judge at the 2023 BAFTA Television Awards, across two categories: Sport & Live Event. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) is known for celebrating the best in creative and technical excellence in television, and their awards ceremony is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year.

Alex & Craig were joined on the judging panels by esteemed company throughout the industry. Collectively, they were responsible for selecting the best programmes within their categories.

Jump Cut founder Alex Holden, brought to the panel of judges his years of experience working on multiple sports content. Creating films for the likes of Wimbledon, Olympics and Formula 1. As well as editing critically acclaimed programmes including ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive‘ (Netflix) and ‘Top Gear‘ (BBC).

Similarly, Craig Chaplin has worked across a number of live events on location, for several high-end production companies. Craig was able to offer invaluable insight from an editorial perspective, with his experience of editing in unique and pressurised events.

‘UEFA Women’s EURO 2022’ (Whisper/BBC Sport/BBC One), took home the top prize for Sport. With ‘Platinum Jubilee: Party At The Palace’ (BBC Studios/BBC One) triumphant in the Live Event category.
